Alberta has a K-12 education system and CAPE believes that full-time kindergarten has definite benefits. CAPE’s kindergarten program is a blend of teacher-led and student-directed activities, hands-on and seated activities, learning by doing and learning by direct instruction. The vast majority of CAPE students enter grade one as readers or emergent readers, definitely a strong foundation for grade one.
