CAPE's Charity Efforts 2017-2018

Each year, CAPE selects 3 charities: local, provincial and global, and engages in activities with students to to support the development of citizenry skills as well as personal skills such as empathy and altruism.  Read more below about our 2017-2018 charities.

In the first term we focus on local charities. For years, CAPE has recognized the work of the food bank and women's shelter to support families.

One of our biggest charity activities is the collection of items for each of these organizations throughout December. This is known as Stack the Sleigh.

In previous years, CAPE has engaged in activities to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Again, this year, CAPE will take part in various activities to raise money to support this organization.

For the third year in a row, CAPE will be supporting global water projects through Samaritan's Purse.  Proceeds from the sale of water and healthy snacks through the school vending machines will go to support various water projects.  Learn more about those projects here.
